Ivo Šlosarčík graduated from the Faculty of Law, Charles University in Prague (1997) and the Central European University in Budapest (1999). He is a lecturer in European and international law at Jean Monnet Center of Excellence, Charles University and also at the Prague campus of the New York University. In 2000 he was Visiting Researcher at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy and also received a certificate as a trainer for the civil service in EU affairs from the Civil Service College in Sunningdale, United Kingdom. From 2002-2007 he was active in the Institute for European Policy (EUROPEUM) in Prague. Dr Šlosarčík has published extensively on EU affairs, especially on legal issues of European integration, judicial and police co-operation in the EU and the transformation of national political and administrative structures in the context of EU membership. He is also a member of numerous editorial boards and expert associations.
