This programme wil not be available from the next academic year. However, the programme Balkan, Eurasian and Central European Studies has a new specialization - Balkan and Central European Studies which covers the Central European region.
The CECS programme focuses on the region composed of Germany, Austria and the Visegrad countries (the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary) with an overlap onto neighbouring countries. It offers a thorough comparative and multidisciplinary understanding of the historical, political, economic and cultural developments of the above-listed countries. The programme is offered either in the form of a full-time programme of study or as part-time study (optimised for working people with classes on Friday afternoons).
